About the Game Designer:

The "Speedway Racing" board game has been designed by a true race car enthusiast, a builder of real racecars and a summer Crew Chief. My love of the race world started many years ago. As a young man, I spent every summer working on various pit crews helping to make sure the car was in perfect condition so our team could capture the coveted 'checkered flag'. It was our summertime entertainment, excitement and the thrill of our car winning was indescribable.

But the summer race season is too short for a true race fan that lives and breathes, the sport of racing.

Ironically, this game was conceived during the winter of 1999. Our racecars were garaged, there was snow on the ground and we couldn't 'go racing' and could not wait for the new season's excitement to begin. I had gone to bed frustrated but awoke from a deep sleep and, "it was as if the Lord told me to get up and make this game". And so I did. I still have the original drawing. Now, I have designed the "Speedway Racing" game, so we can race anytime, in any weather and share our love of this sport with others.

From the USAC (United States Auto Club) midgets to the Outlaw 1200 winged mini-sprints to competing at the nationally famous Chili Bowl, against such well known drivers, as our friends Tony Stewart, Sammy Swindell, Jay Drake and Danny Lasoski, my family has experienced many facets of car racing. It is a family affair. Both sons have raced and enjoyed many, many successes and many disappointments, in their driving careers. Each summer we start our quest for the 'checkered flag' and are always sorry to see each season end.

The "Speedway Racing" board game design has evolved many times since that first drawing and it now comes to you to enjoy. "I'll see you at the races".
